At Start-Tai Chi I promote the physical and mental health benefits of Tai Chi. I believe that everyone can benefit of any age or ability from this ancient practice and I strive to make it accessible to all.
Richard began Tai Chi in 1992 under the tutorage of Dr Paul Tien, Paul learned from his father who taught in Hong Kong and was a direct Student of brothers Yang Cheng-fu & Yang Shao Hao, our form is 116 moves and is 100 years + old and practiced exactly as it was then.
I offer a variety of courses & workshops for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. To help you develop your Tai Chi & Qigong, improve your health, and find inner calm.
Almost finsihed with the beginners course and I'm definately going to continue with the next course, Lovely group of people and Richard is a calm and patient teacher who makes learning Tai Chi a very enjoyable experience

What a truly wonderful day it's turning out to be here at RHS Bridgewater, as we mark a momentous occasion for our Tai Chi clubs – our 10th anniversary! It's hard to believe it's been a decade since we first started our journey together, cultivating peace, balance, and well-being through the ancient art of Tai Chi.
There couldn't be a more perfect setting to celebrate this milestone than the serene and beautiful gardens of RHS Bridgewater. The tranquil surroundings, vibrant blooms, and gentle rustling of leaves are providing an ideal backdrop for our collective practice. Many members are already taking the opportunity to explore the various gardens, finding peaceful nooks for individual reflection.
It's a joy to see so many familiar faces, from our very first members to those who have joined us more recently, all sharing in the spirit of camaraderie and mindful movement. This past decade has been a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of each and every one of our members. We've seen incredible personal growth, fostered strong friendships, and created a supportive community that extends far beyond the halls. From mastering new forms to simply enjoying the quiet moments of meditation, Tai Chi has enriched our lives in countless ways.
We're so grateful to everyone who has come out today to make our 10th-anniversary celebration so special.

Filmed during the 2020 Corona Virus Pandemic, Richard swapped his in person classes to Online, great introduction and talk about Anxiety, much of the world was focusing on avoiding catching the Virus but Richard's focus in this class was on what mental impact that could have.
